On the positive side just to be fair, beds were normal holiday inn quality. Air conditioner thermostat worked fine. View of the Kemah lighthouse and Texaco station were very nice, and our car did not get broken into overnight.
I am rating one aspect of this hotel here, in the following. The bar manager. Great guy. We had several exchanges at different times. On one exchange, there was a misunderstanding about my order. The manager cleared it up quickly and saw to my satisfaction at the new outcome. Later, I came to the bar 6 minutes after the kitchen closed. I basically stated that I was very hungry, the day had been long on work. I mentioned "…even a pizza", to which he replied "Pizza? I'll make you a pizza. Pepperoni or cheese?". I was so happy to get a hot meal This was al during the flood from hurricane Harvey. He helped me have a better night, fed, warm, and sustained. My gratitude.
The room was OK although a bit tight for $150 per night. Had to safety pin the curtains closed to keep bright parking lot light out of the room. (The curtains did not “meet.”) No tub in the room. Internet is horribly slow and you have to log in almost every time you use a device.
Great location and within walking distance to the boardwalk. Great rooms too!
Very clean and classy establishment, and great staff. Everything you need and more is within walking distance and perfect location if you are having fun at the Kemah Boardwalk.
Great service,very clean room,and the price for the room was $10 cheaper on Holiday Inn wedsite than it was on priceline. So I definitely will be coming back in the near future.
So far, not so good. Exercise room is hot and TV remote does not work (nor are there buttons that I can find on the side.) Breakfast prices are ridiculous (we went to McDonald’s). Not even coffee available in the lobby.
